The Department of Wildlife and Range Management, FRNR - KNUST is the only institution that runs the BSc Natural Resources Management Program (Wildlife Option) in Ghana. The Department was established in 1995 to fill the human capital deficit in the sustainable management of ecosystems at higher level in the nation.

Our colleges are in themselves, autonomous communities. Our interactions with students reveal a passionate student body ready to take full advantage of the willingness and commitment of faculty to becoming what they want to be. This has created an atmosphere of student-centered learning; - employing all they could to peruse course contents for their maximum benefit. Lecturers have remained close and offered timely help and guidance to help them actualize their dreams in well furnished, state of the art labs / studios/ theatres / auditoriums among others.
