FRNR celebrates the ‘Green Ghana Day’

The staff and students of the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology planted over 2000 trees at the University’s plantation site at Kwamo, near Ejisu on the10th June 2022 as part of the ‘Green Ghana Day’ Project

 

In a parallel exercise, the student associations of the Faculty with support from the Ghana Institute of Foresters led a tree planting exercise at the Appiadu Basic School.

The tree planting exercise was also preceded with a donation of assorted drinks to the school.

 

About Green Ghana Project

The Green Ghana project is a Government of Ghana initiative championed by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources for the planting of 20 million trees with the focus of achieving equitable low carbon economic growth for Ghana.
